Giovedì 29 Settembre 2011 Avantgarden Gallery inaugura OBJECT OF THE UNIVERSE, personale di Interesni Kazki, il duo ucraino composto da Aleksei Bordusov in arte AEC (Kiev, Ukraina 1980) e Vladimir Manzhos in arte WAONE (Kiev, Ukraina 1981).
AEC e WAONE sono stati i precursori del movimento del Writing nei paesi dell’Est Europa e rappresentano una delle proposte più interessanti del mondo dell’arte urbana. Interesni Kazki, che tradotto nella nostra lingua potrebbe significare Storie Interessanti o Colori Interessanti, è il nome che i due artisti hanno scelto per firmare i loro progetti comuni. A ispirare il titolo della mostra e a costituire un’ulteriore firma di unicità creativa sono i soggetti della loro pittura, ovvero tutti gli oggetti possibili e a volte anche gli impossibili. Come in un caleidoscopio le forme si susseguono e galleggiano dentro un tempo sospeso, perdendo il loro significato originario e assumendone di nuovi.
Una pittura, la loro, fatta di colori tenui e caldi, che tende lo sguardo all’inconscio, e che a volte si carica di significati sociali, indagando tra le pieghe mutevoli e nascoste della personalità umana e rivelando l’interesse di AEC e WAONE verso alcuni aspetti ignoti e a volte magici di discipline quali la religione, la cosmologia, la numerologia, la fantascienza e la tradizione popolare.
Influenzati nell’approccio segnico dal noto fumettista Moebius, i due giovani artisti urbani si esprimono attraverso un racconto pittorico fatto di immagini dense di rimandi simbolici nei quali è possibile rintracciare molteplici chiavi di lettura; alcune opere possono infatti essere disposte “up side down” (sotto-sopra) e altri ancora essere girati da destra a sinistra, svelando ogni volta nuovi punti di vista.
Ogni singolo lavoro è una sorta di rebus e contiene un segreto da decifrare.
Objects of the universe
On Thursday September 29th, Avantgarden Gallery is inaugurating OBJECT OF THE UNIVERSE, a solo exhibition by Interesni Kazki, the Ukrainian duo composed of Aleksei Bordusov alias AEC (Kiev, Ukraine 1980) and Vladimir Manzhos alias WAONE (Kiev, Ukraine 1981).
AEC and WAONE have been the precursors of the graffiti movement in the Eastern European Countries and represent one of the most interesting proposals of the Urban Art world.
Interesni Kazki, which traduced into our language could mean Interesting Stories or Interesting Colours, is the name chosen by the artists to sign their common projects.
The source of inspiration for the title of the exhibition, establishing a further signature of creative uniqueness are the subjects of their painting: the possible but sometimes also the impossible objects.
As in a kaleidoscope, the shapes follow one another and float inside a suspended time, losing their original signification and adopting new meanings.
Their style of painting is composed of soft and warm colours, tending the sight towards the unconscious, and sometimes charged with social meanings, investigating between the changing and hidden folds of the human personality and revealing the interest of AEC and WAONE towards unknown aspects, but also treating subjects like religion, cosmology, numerology, science fiction and popular tradition.
Influenced in their semiotic approach by the famous cartoonist Moebius, the two young urban artists express themselves trough a narrative painting made of images full of symbolism where multiple reading keys can be found. Some of the artworks can also be put up side down, others can be turned from right to left, revealing every time new points of view.
Every single piece of work is a sort of rebus and contains a secret to decipher.
